India, June 27 -- The Environment Officer of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), Mysuru Regional Office, has written to the Commissioner of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to take steps to prevent the flow of sewage water to Kukkarahalli Lake. Activists of Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP) had complained to KSPCB, Mysuru Regional Office, over phone on Apr. 15, about sewage water leading to contamination of water at Kukkarahalli Lake. Following this, KSPCB officials inspected the Lake on Apr.16 and collected water samples on Apr. 19.
