I am certain the authorities are aware of the inconvenience faced by passengers arriving by train at Mysuru Junction, especially those exiting on CFTRI side gate to avail prepaid auto services. Several evening trains arrive at Platforms 4, 5 or 6, which are closer to this side of station.

A few years ago, a prepaid auto kiosk was inaugurated with much fanfare and functioned efficiently for some time. However, it is now non-operational, leaving passengers stranded.

With no system in place, commuters are forced to negotiate with auto drivers who charge exorbitant fares, exploiting factors like weather conditions and passengers' urgency. At times, it takes over an hour after arrival to secure an auto.
