It is common knowledge that one of the major problems confronting Mysuru city is the rampant violation of traffic rules. As an ordinary citizen, I feel deeply embarrassed by the magnitude of these violations.

I am certain that the top brass of the Police Department would share the same embarrassment if they truly observed the scale of these infractions.

By my own rough estimate, there are at least 10,000 violations of the 'one-way' rule alone every single day. Having Traffic Constables posted at key junctions has not made much of a difference, as these violations occur right under their nose.
