Mysuru, Jan. 9 -- Former Indian wicket-keeper Syed Mujtaba Hussain Kirmani (Syed Kirmani), who was in city on Wednesday, visited Tahaffuz-e-Khabarasthan Committee Office near Tipu Circle, where he was greeted by Committee President Fayaz Pasha and Secretary Mahmood Ali Khan Khurrath.

Kirmani offered Namaz-e-Zohar at the Musallah along with the Committee Members. Engineer Mohammed Ali was present on the occasion.

Syed Kirmani, who played cricket for India and Karnataka as a wicket-keeper, was awarded the Col. CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016, the highest honour bestowed by BCCI on a former player. Kirmani was a member of the Indian team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
