Mysuru, Sept. 27 -- Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji of Avadhoota Datta Peetha, Mysuru, has condoled the demise of Saraswati Samman awardee and noted Kannada novelist Dr. S.L. Bhyrappa, who passed away on Sept. 24 at the age of 94.
In a condolence message, Sri Swamiji said that Dr. Bhyrappa's death is an enormous loss to the Kannada literary world and to scores of his readers. Stating that all works of Dr. Bhyrappa became popular, he said that many of his works were translated to several Indian languages including Sanskrit.
Dr. Bhyrappa's works will remain etched in the minds of readers for long, Sri Swamiji said and prayed the almighty to give strength to the late writer's family to bear the loss.
