Paris, June 9 -- Defeats World No.1 Jannik Sinner in longest final
Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz once again showed his dominating side and clinched the French Open 2025, men's singles final against Jannik Sinner on Sunday.
After losing the first two sets, Alcaraz showed a brilliant comeback and clinched a terrific win. The scoreline of the final match was 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6 in favour of Alcaraz.
Sinner squandered three championship points before being taken to the limit in a French Open final record time of 5 hrs 29 mins. It broke the record of the 1982 final match between Wilander and Vilas, which lasted 4 hrs and 42 minutes.
