Mysuru, Feb. 1 -- University of Mysore women's cricket team entered the finals of South Zone Inter-University Women's Cricket Tournament defeating SRM University, Chennai, by 31 runs at Tiruchengode in Tamil Nadu yesterday.

This will be the first ever time that University of Mysore women's team would be playing in the finals. The tournament organised by Anna University, Chennai, is being played at K.S. Rangasamy College of Technology in Tiruchengode.

Having put into bat first, University of Mysore, helped by S. Nanditha 47(46), B.R. Kavya 33(19), D. Ruhi 29(19) and J. Deeksha 28 (31), scored 152/3 in 20 overs.

M.D. Afrah Muskan picked up one wicket for SRM University.
