Nanjangud, Dec. 15 -- Yuva Brigade's "Kapila Kare" campaign, a large-scale cleaning drive of the sacred Kapila River in Nanjangud, drew strong support from several organisations and hundreds of youth volunteers. The river-cleaning initiative, which began on Friday, concluded on Sunday.
Over the three days, volunteers from Yuva Brigade, the Srikanteshwara Boat Association, Dharmasthala volunteers, students of NIE College, Mysuru, Rotary members and youths from Kempegowda Layout cleaned the Kapila riverbank near the renowned Srikanteshwaraswamy Temple in Nanjangud, popularly known as Dakshina Kashi.
