Blooming Time, May 20 -- Once upon a time, most of the roads across Mysuru was lined with stunning Gulmohar flowering trees, admired for its vibrant eye-catching red blossoms adding a touch of beauty to our roads and landscape. But nowadays they are seen only on a few Roads in city. Gulmohar trees are in full bloom during April-May, when they burst into a riot of fiery red colours - red, orange or scarlet petals that resemble flames, hence its nickname, the Flame Tree. The above pictures of Gulmohar trees in full bloom were clicked by a morning walker in Manasagangothri campus and e-mailed to Star of Mysore.
