Mysore/Mysuru, Jan. 13 -- In an update, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's Office posted on X platform on Jan. 11, 2026: "She has allocated Rs. 5 crore from her MPLADS funds for the Cosmology Education and Research-Training Centre (COSMOS Mysuru) project and laid the foundation stone in March 2022.

She was actively involved in the ideation and planning of Digistar-7 planetarium, envisioned to spark curiosity and deepen interest in space science and cosmology among the young ones.
