It is a known fact that most of the footpaths have been occupied by roadside eateries across the city and though we frequently hear the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) authorities of clearing them, not much has happened in real terms.

I would like to mention one such eatery which is being run on Nazarbad Main Road, on the footpath abutting the Government Sindhi Higher Primary School for decades. I had written about this years ago twice in this column. However, the eatery still thrives.

The eatery does business from late in the afternoon till midnight. It has occupied an area of about 50 metres on the footpath. Since the eatery is located almost at the junction of B.N. Road and Nazarbad Main Road, it is definitely a ...
