Shillong, Nov. 10 -- Meghalaya's Akash Kumar Choudhary etched his name into the history books of cricket after becoming only the third batter to hit six sixes in an over in first-class cricket yesterday on Day-2 of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 plate group match against Arunachal Pradesh in Surat, Gujarat.
The 25-year-old right-hander turned the match into a spectacle, swatted Limar Dabi for six 6s in an over, following in the footsteps of Sir Garfield Sobers and Ravi Shastri. He also hit another 2 sixes of the next two balls he faced (8 consecutive sixes) to bring up his half century.
