India, Oct. 5 -- New Delhi, Oct. 5 (Agencies)- The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on Saturday announced that it has amended the National Highways Fee rules for vehicles entering toll plazas without a valid and functional FASTag.
With effect from Nov. 15, 2025, vehicle owners who do not use FASTag will be required to pay 1.25 times the regular toll amount when they choose to make payments through the Unified Payment Interface (UPI).
This revised rate is comparatively lower than the fee levied on those making payments in cash. If paying in cash, vehicle owners without a valid FASTag will have to pay double the applicable user fee.
