India, June 7 -- The Panihati Chida Dahi Utsava will be celebrated at the ISKCON Temple in Mysuru on June 9, with special programmes organised in the temple's Sri Dhama Hall. This festival holds special significance in the Gaudiya tradition as it commemorates the day when Sri Nityananda Prabhu gave darshan to Srila Raghunatha Dasa Goswami in the village of Panihati in Bengal, blessing him to take shelter of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. On this day, the temple will host a Maha Abhisheka, Mangalarati, drama performance, sankirtana and prasadam from 6 pm. Temple management has requested devotees to attend in large numbers.
