India, Oct. 5 -- Rescues 33 children from beggary; CWC warns parents of legal action in case of any recurrence
Mysuru, Oct. 5- In a special drive named 'Operation Navaratri', the Special Juvenile Police Unit and Child Helpline, has rescued over 30 children who were found begging on roads during the recently concluded Nada Habba Mysuru Dasara.
Acting on the directions of District Child Protection Unit, the Special Juvenile Police personnel and volunteers of Child Helpline (1098/112), rescued 12 boys and 21 girls totalling 33 children. They have been shifted to a temporary accommodation.
These children were found begging at Dasara Food Mela held at Maharaja's College grounds, Dasara Exhibition Grounds, near Mysore Palace and Sri Chamaraj...
