In response to the article 'MDA faces litmus test after MUDA's collapse' published in the Star of Mysore on May 27. Concerning the concerns raised regarding the functioning and future of the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), rebranded as Mysuru Development Authority (MDA), I wish to offer the following observations along with suggested remedies:

1. Development of new layouts

Political interference: Most developers operate with political backing and vested interests. This can be curtailed only under the leadership of a strong and efficient Administrator or Commissioner.
