Mysore/Mysuru, July 26 -- The Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) has named cricket tournament organised annually as part of the Journalists Sports Meet after late K.B. Ganapathy (KBG), Founder-Editor of Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra, who passed away on July 13.
Presiding over the inaugural event of the 2-day Annual Sports Meet for Journalists at University of Mysore (UoM) Athletic Grounds (Oval Grounds) this morning, MDJA President K. Deepak said that the Association had decided to name cricket tournament as 'KBG Cup' as a tribute to KBG's contribution to journalism and his affection towards sports.
