I am a very senior citizen walking around the pristine Kukkarahalli Lake every day.

Every time I see another concerned senior citizen writing about the maintenance of Kukkarahalli Lake, I am constrained to point out that Kukkarahalli Kere in its present state is unique and unspoilt, a rare piece of nature in the heart of a bustling city.

As I have pointed out earlier, we live in an anthropocentric world. I often see people playing music loudly on their phones while walking around the Lake with no consideration for the birds, other wildlife and walkers.

I hear senior citizens asking for bright lights again, not thinking that the birds might like to be undisturbed in their natural habitat from dusk to dawn.
