The Nanjangud toll booth, where toll fees are collected, is a mere waste given the deplorable condition of the road. Nearly 80 percent of the stretch is riddled with patches and potholes, making travel a nightmare.

The road, laid with substandard quality, has deteriorated within a year of asphalting, with potholes reappearing rapidly.

On the Nanjangud Bridge Road towards Mysuru, debris at the bridge's entrance has remained uncleared for the past five years. This obstruction at a critical overtaking spot, which narrows down to a single lane, poses a severe threat to motorists. Several accidents have occurred due to this negligence.
