India, May 28 -- Sir,

On May 23, a small goods carrier was seen dangerously overloaded on Hunsur Road. The vehicle was carrying a load haphazardly tied and stacked to nearly twice its height, significantly exceeding safe limits and posing a serious risk to other road users.

Despite passing multiple junctions where Traffic Police are usually stationed, the vehicle was not intercepted. It was visibly leaning to one side and the driver appeared to be operating it in an unsafe manner.

This incident underscores a persistent problem: although regulations clearly define the maximum allowable weight and dimensions for transported goods, enforcement remains lax. Such violations continue to endanger public safety.
