Mysore/Mysuru, Oct. 11 -- CM to hold review meeting tonight

The Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has registered a suo motu case in connection with the rape and murder of a minor girl in Mysuru on Thursday.

In its communication to the Mysuru District Administration and the District Child Protection Officer, the Commission has sought an action-taken report within seven days. It has also requested details on the support extended to the victim's family by the district authorities.

Confirming the development to Star of Mysore this morning, Mysuru District Child Protection Officer Yogesh stated that the Commission initiated the case after the incident came to light.
