India, Oct. 23 -- Mysuru, Oct. 23 (RK&BCT)- An attempted child abduction at the Mysuru City Railway Station was foiled by the alert personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), who swiftly identified and arrested the suspect within hours by tracking CCTV footage.

The incident took place yesterday around 5.20 am, when a woman allegedly tried to abduct a six-month-old baby boy who was sleeping beside his mother, 38-year-old Jasmin Taj, in the station premises.

Jasmin Taj, wife of Hiyash Khan, is a resident of Ijur in Ramanagara district.

According to the RPF, the distraught mother was seen crying near the portico area of the Railway Station when RPF staff C.M. Nagaraju, who was on duty, noticed her distress and rushed to enquire. Jas...
