Mysuru, Feb. 2 -- Sports plays a pivotal role in developing skills and personality to face challenges and to work in groups, said Superintendent of Police (retd.) Shankare Gowda, here recently.

Speaking after inaugurating the Annual Sports Day of Nypunya School at Chamundi Vihar Stadium, he said that sports not only purified the body and soul but also strengthened it physically.

"Sports also acts as a platform for students to achieve in their field of interest. Students should get inspired from great personalities such as Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, APJ
