India, Oct. 11 -- Mysuru, Oct.11 (GA&DM)- Strongly condemning the brutal rape and murder of a 10-year old girl of Kalaburagi in city, the AIDSO (All India Democratic Students Organisation) and AIMSS (All India Mahila Samskrutika Sanghatan) staged a joint demonstration near the old Deputy Commissioner's Office here this morning.

Addressing the protestors, AIMSS District Vice-President Seema said, "Mysuru has just celebrated Dasara by worshipping women as God. But at the same time, it is distressing that a 10-year-old girl, who had come from far away Kalaburagi to Mysuru to sell balloons during Dasara for livelihood, has been brutally raped and killed in this city, which is ironical."
