Colombo, Sri Lanka, April 11 -- Sri Lanka Army issued the following press release:
Under the guidance of Major General K.N.D Karunapala RSP ndu, the General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division, a blood donation campaign was conducted on 02 April 2025 at the Division Headquarters premises, with the support of the Blood Bank at Vavuniya Base Hospital.
A total of 159 donors from the 56 Infantry Division and its under command battalions voluntarily donated blood.
This initiative made a valuable contribution to saving lives by supporting the medical needs of the Blood Bank at Vavuniya Base Hospital.
