Colombo, Sri Lanka, April 11 -- Sri Lanka Army issued the following press release:
Under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 54 Infantry Division and the supervision of the Commander, 541 Infantry Brigade, troops of the 10 (V) Battalion of the Gemunu Watch (GW) conducted a school items donation programme on 11 April 2025 at the battalion premises.
During the programme, 29 students from low-income families in Mannar/Palakkuli Roman Catholic Tamil School received school packs, including a school bag and exercise books. The donation was made possible through the generosity of Venerable Mapakada Pannasara Thero of the Malwathu Chapter, Mrs. Chameela Priyadarshani and Mr. Vatsala Karunatilaka.
