Troops of 1 Corps bade farewell to Major General M.T.I. Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc, the 6th Commander of 1 Corps, during a formal military ceremony at Headquarters 1 Corps, Kilinochchi, on 10 March 2025.
Upon arrival, he was accorded a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour by troops of the 3rd Battalion, Gajaba Regiment. Addressing the troops at the auditorium, he expressed gratitude for their support during his tenure and encouraged them to maintain their commitment for the benefit and reputation of the organisation.
