Sri Lanka Army athletes showcased exceptional performances at the 26th Asian Athletics Championship, held in Gumi, South Korea, from 27 to 31 May 2025.
The Sri Lanka Army team comprised five female and six male athletes, who brought pride to the nation through their exceptional achievements on the international stage. Staff Sergeant R. Nadeesha of 2 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps (SLAWC) and Private M.H.J. Uththara of 2 (V) Sri Lanka Army Service Corps secured bronze medals in the Women's 4x400m Relay. Lance Corporal W.A.M.R.
