Colombo, Sri Lanka, Feb. 15 -- Sri Lanka Army issued the following press release:
Major General M.J.R.S Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG officially assumed duties as the 39th Commandant of the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) on 10th February 2025.
Upon arrival, he was accorded a Guard Turnout at the entrance, followed by a formal Guard of Honour on the Parade Ground. He then paid tribute to the fallen heroes of the Sri Lanka Army by laying a floral wreath at the War Memorial in their honour.
Following the formalities, he symbolically placed his signature on a formal document amidst religious blessings and addressed the troops. The event concluded with an All-Ranks tea.
