The SLAF Agro Unit participated in the Global Day for the Mitigation of Desertification and Drought, held yesterday (17 June 2025) at Sobadaham Piyasa, Ministry of Environment. The event was graced by the Honourable Deputy Minister of Environment, Mr. Anton Jayakodi as the Chief Guest.
A delegation of SLAF officers, led by the Commanding Officer of the Agro Unit, Group Captain Daminda Samaratunga attended the event with the aim of promoting the "Guwan Kapruka" programme, an initiative by the SLAF Agro Unit dedicated to advancing sustainable agricultural practices.
