The No. 6 Helicopter Squadron at SLAF Base Anuradhapura celebrated its 32nd anniversary on 15 March 20225 under the leadership of Group Captain AR Pathirage. Established on 15 March 1993 at SLAF Base Katunayake with the induction of Mil Mi-17 helicopters, the squadron was subsequently relocated to SLAF Base Vavuniya on 29 April 1993 and later shifted to SLAF Base Anuradhapura to cater the operational requirements of the nation.
The anniversary proceedings commenced with the customary Working Parade at the squadron premises, inspected by the Commanding Officer.
