Colombo, Sri Lanka, March 18 -- Sri Lanka Army issued the following press release:
Major General W.M.P.M Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu assumed office as the 7th Commander of 1 Corps on 17 March 2025, amidst traditional military formalities at the Headquarters of 1 Corps in Kilinochchi.
Upon arrival, the Commander was accorded a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour, presented by the 3rd Battalion Gajaba Regiment.
Thereafter, the Commander of 1 Corps addressed the troops regarding the duties and responsibilities entrusted to them during his address.
