Colombo, Sri Lanka, Feb. 12 -- Sri Lanka Army issued the following press release:
Major General W.W.M.P.W.W.B.R. Palamakumbura RWP RSP assumed duties as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 21 Infantry Division amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the 21 Infantry Division Headquarters on 10th February 2025.
The newly appointed GOC was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and accorded a Guard Turnout by the troops of 7 (V) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, followed by a Guard of Honour.
In his office, the GOC symbolically signed an official document to mark the assumption of his duties after religious observances. He then posed for a group photograph. In his address, he shared his vision for the division's future.
