Colombo, Sri Lanka, Dec. 6 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:
Lanka Ashok Leyland has donated a fleet of vehicles valued at over Rs. 65 million to support national recovery efforts under the Rebuild Sri Lanka programme, a government initiative aimed at restoring communities and infrastructure affected by recent adverse weather conditions.
The official handover took place today (06 December) at Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo. The High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, H.E. Santosh Jha, and Chief Executive Officer of Lanka Ashok Leyland, Mr. Umesh Gautam, warmly welcomed all invitees to the occasion.
