The fallen war heroes of the Indian Peacekeeping Force (IPKF), who fought against LTTE terrorists from 1987 to 1990 in Sri Lanka, were commemorated, and their sacrifices remembered, at the Indian Peacekeeping Force Monument in Palaly on 26th January 2025, coinciding with India's Republic Day.
The Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna), in collaboration with the Office of the Consul General of India to Sri Lanka in Jaffna, organised the event.
