ARMY CHIEF INSPECTS REFURBISHED TATA 709 TRUCKS AT ARMY HEADQUARTERS

Colombo, Sri Lanka, Feb. 20 -- Sri Lanka Army issued the following news release:

Under the guidance of Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) recently incorporated ten refurbished TATA 709 Trucks into the Army's fleet at the Base Workshop, Udawalawa.

The Commander of the Army inspected these vehicles at the Army Headquarters on 19 February 2025, marking another milestone in the Army's ongoing efforts to enhance its logistical capabilities.
