The 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti - Fascist War was commemorated yesterday (Aug 20) at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.
The Chief Guest, Minister of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment Hon. (Dr) Upali Pannilage was joined by the Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) and Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd).
