The Guwan Hamuda Papedi Sawariya 2025, the 26th edition of the race, was flagged off this morning (28 February 2025) in front of SLAF Station Weerawila by the Director General Air Operations and former Chairman Air Force Cycling, Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera. The moment was attended by Director General Sports, Rear Admiral Shemal Fernando. This year's race, which commenced today, is conducted in line with the 74th anniversary.
