Hanoi, Vietnam, Feb. 4 -- Viet Nam targets to have nearly 9,000 km of expressways by late 2050

In particular, the Eastern North-South Expressway, running from Lang Son to Ca Mau, will have a total length of 2,065 km, while the Western North-South Expressway will span 1,205 km.

The network includes 14 expressways in the northern region (2,242 km), 11 in the central and Central Highlands regions (1,353 km), and the rest of 11 highways in the southern region, with a combined length of 1,342 km.

In Ha Noi region, by 2050, there will be three ring roads with a total length of approximately 417 km while Ho Chi Minh City will have two ring roads with a total length of about 299 km.
