Hanoi, Vietnam, Jan. 24 -- In 2025, the Southeast Asian country welcomed nearly 21.2 million international arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 20.4 percent and 19 percent higher than in 2019, the period before the COVID-19 pandemic.

This result far exceeded the global average tourism growth rate of 4 percent and was significantly higher than the overall growth of the Asia-Pacific region (6 percent). Viet Nam's strong tourism recovery has been driven by multiple factors, notably increasingly open visa policies, the expansion of international flight routes, and innovations in tourism promotion and marketing.
