Hanoi, Vietnam, Dec. 26 -- The above figure includes US$470.59 billion in export turnover, a year-on-year rise of 15.9 percent, while import value amounted to US$449.41 billion, an increase of 18 percent against the previous year, according to the Viet Nam Customs.

The customs agency said 2025 marks the 10th consecutive year Viet Nam reports trade surplus (approximately US$21.2 billion).

The FDI sector continued to play the key role in driving trade growth, with a new record of US$663 billion, accounting for 72 percent of Viet Nam's total trade and contributing 99 percent of the country's overall trade expansion. Meanwhile, domestic enterprises posted US$257 billion in trade value, largely unchanged from 2024.
