Hanoi, Vietnam, Dec. 10 -- These laws include Cybersecurity Law, which is built on the merger of the 2018 Cybersecurity Law and the 2015 Law on Cyber-information Security.

With eight chapters and 45 articles, the Cybersecurity Law is set to come into effect on July 1, 2026, aiming to establish a solid legal framework to enhance the capacity to protect national sovereignty in cyberspace and promote the sustainable development of the digital economy.

The legislative body also approved the Law on Protection of State Secrets with five chapters with 28 articles.
