JAKARTA, March 8 -- The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) launched the ASEAN Regional Study on Women, Peace and Security on March 8, International Women's Day. The ground-breaking study presents evidence-based recommendations to support member states in enhancing women's meaningful participation in peacebuilding and conflict prevention, resolution, and post-conflict processes, in line with regional and international commitments. The study's launch is a collaboration between ASEAN, the U.S. government through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and UN Women, all of whom collaborated to produce the study.
