Hanoi, Vietnam, Dec. 11 -- Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung presents the draft Law on Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the on-going session of the 15th National Assembly

The law, scheduled to take effect from March 1, 2026, consists of 35 articles. It aims to ensure a balance between risk control and the promotion of innovation, in line with international practices and support Viet Nam in proactively integrating with new technological standards.

The law identifies humans as the center, stipulating that AI must serve humans, not replace them, and that human oversight is required in important decision-making processes.
