BANGKOK, Feb. 25 -- Representatives from ASEAN power sector regulators and utilities discussed the implications of multilateral power trade for national regulators at a workshop in Bangkok, Thailand on 20 and 21 February.

The two-day workshop discussed the ASEAN regional integration perspective, taking into account the lessons learned from national and regional power integration experiences across the globe. ASEAN officials benefited from the experience of regulators and system operators from regional electricity markets in the United States, European Union, Nord Pool, India/South Asia, South Africa, Gulf countries and Central America.
