JAKARTA, Jan. 13 -- Today, the ASEAN Foundation announced the appointment of Dr. Yang Mee Eng as its new Executive Director for the 2020-2023 term. Starting January 17, she will take the baton from the previous Executive Director, Elaine Tan, to lead the ASEAN Foundation into the next chapter.
Yang worked in private and government sectors for over 26 years. She was most recently the Senior Vice President at Alphacap. There, she assisted SMEs companies and led the development and execution of Bloconomic Expo 2019, a platform aimed at creating a vast network of blockchain entrepreneurs and developers in the fast-evolving blockchain companies.
