New Delhi, April 16 -- South Korea has on Friday announced a visa ban on Bangladeshis as many passengers traveling from the country were founded the COVID-19 positive upon their arrival in South Korea, reported The Daily Star.

The South Korean government informed the decision to the Bangladesh embassy in Seoul. "The South Korean government has imposed a visa ban on Bangladeshi nationals in the wake of an increase in the number of passengers coming to South Korea from Bangladesh identified as COVID-19 positive. The ban will take effect on April 16, 2021," reads a notification issued by the embassy.
