NEW YORK, March 20 -- South Asian cities Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Karachi are among the cheapest places to live, the Economist Intelligence Unit's 2019 Worldwide Cost of Living Survey stated.

Along with the three Indian cities of Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi, the world's cheapest cities include Damascus (Syria), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Karachi (Pakistan) and Lagos (Nigeria).
