New Delhi, March 23 -- Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Saturday attacked the BJP-led Central government over unemployment in the country, saying that the government's vow of jobless growth is causing havoc.

Her remarks came a day after the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) report claimed that the number of employed men in the country has fallen by nearly two crore in the six years between 2011-12 and 2017-18.

"Quite disturbingly the curse of berozgari (unemployment) is at its highest in 45 years but BJP is totally careless. Successive governments failed miserably on crucial issues of poverty alleviation and social justice but Modi government's vow of jobless growth (is) causing havoc ...
