Hyderabad, Feb. 11 -- Telangana recorded an impressive voter turnout of 73.01 per cent in the municipal elections that concluded on Wednesday, February 11, with no major incidents of violence reported.

A total of 38,09,406 votes were polled. Of these, 18,51,829 were male voters (72.63 per cent), 19,57,226 were female voters (73.39 per cent) and 351 (55.02 per cent) were Other category voters.

Choutuppal municipality recorded the maximum voter turnout at 91.91 per cent and Nandikonda registered only 59.68 per cent.

As for the municipal corporation, Nalgonda saw 77.36 per cent turnout while Nizamabad corporation witnessed 59.12 per cent.
